Point-of-Care (POC) Diagnostics
Get valid "chairside" test results for a range of different markers in 15 minutes, based on a single drop of blood.
Choose from several systems
From blood test to result – on screen or in the app
botissCARE, VHC and Qassay all measure from a capillary blood drop and provide a quantitative result in approximately 15 minutes – but the result is displayed differently afterwards. Follow the three steps from sample to result.
Step 3 · The result is displayed directly on the device
The reader unit even displays the quantitative value on its own display. No app, no synchronization – the result is ready to be noted in the journal as soon as the measurement time has elapsed.
botissCAREbotissCARE Cube ReaderbotissCARE's reader for Rapi-D™ Vitamin D test. The sample is placed in the device, which shows the quantitative vitamin D value directly on its own display.

VHCVHC ReaderVHC's reader for Vitamin D test cards. Displays the result directly on your own screen within approximately 15 minutes – no additional software required.

Step 3 · The result is displayed in an associated app
The reader unit sends the result to an app on a phone or tablet, where it is displayed, stored, and can be shared – ideal if you want digital journaling of test results.
Point-of-care diagnostics give you the answer while the decision needs to be made
Chairside diagnostics is not an end in itself – it is relevant when the result genuinely influences the treatment you are planning. Here are three reasons why it makes good clinical sense to test in the clinic.

No external lab waiting time
The result is ready while the patient is still in the chair
A capillary blood sample is analysed directly in the clinic, providing a quantitative result in approximately 15 minutes – instead of waiting several days for a response from an external laboratory. This means the treatment plan can be determined during the same visit, instead of being postponed or requiring an extra trip to the GP. See Test Readers

Direct correlation to the treatment plan
The indicator is only relevant if it changes the decision
Vitamin D status is important for bone healing and osseointegration and is therefore relevant to know before implant placement. CRP is a marker of systemic inflammation and can provide objective input before major invasive procedures. HbA1C reflects long-term blood sugar control and is important for wound healing and periodontal status in diabetic patients. In all three cases, the point is not the test itself, but that it provides a concrete number to plan treatment from.

Improved patient dialogue – and a new service
A concrete figure opens the conversation about the connection between the mouth and body
A measurable result makes it easier to discuss with the patient the connection between oral health and general health, and can be used to motivate follow-up with their general practitioner or changed behavior. At the same time, point-of-care testing is an additional service the clinic can offer without investing in a full laboratory.
