Retention of blood coagulum with collagen products
The form-fitting cones and fleeces protect the wound area from the ingress of food and bacteria. In addition, their spongy collagen structure promotes the formation of a clot and provides an ideal surface for the adhesion of platelets, fibroblasts, and osteoblasts. Fine blood vessels grow into and through the cone, connecting it to the surrounding tissue.
