Smart Dentin Grinder Starter Kit, SDG1, is the Kometa Bio grinder unit itself, which makes it possible to turn an extracted tooth into an autogenous dentine graft directly in the clinic. The unit grinds and cleans the tooth in a closed, sterile chamber, so the bacteria-free particulate dentine is ready for grafting into the extraction site or a bone defect in under 15 minutes.
The starter kit comes with 6 grinding chamber kits, so the clinic can get started with several treatments from day one. The method is a biocompatible alternative to allograft and xenograft, as the graft comes from the patient's own tooth and thereby avoids the risk of rejection.
