Multi-Unit abutments from IPD for compatible implant systems, straight and angled, as well as Multi-unit AP and Custom Ti-Base at Multi-Unit level. The components are sorted by implant system and platform.

What is a Multi-Unit abutment?

A Multi-Unit abutment is a transepithelial abutment that is screwed directly onto the implant. The top is a universal platform for IPD's Multi-Unit components (Multi-unit RP Ø4.8), and bridges or bars are screwed onto the abutment.

According to IPD, straight Multi-Unit abutments can be used for both single and multiple restorations. The angled ones are used for screw-retained bridges and removable dentures on several implants.

The workflow

The abutment is placed with a carrier, the seating is checked with an X-ray, and the abutment is tightened with the Multi-Unit screwdriver. Until the final prosthesis is ready, a temporary abutment or a healing abutment at Multi-Unit level is used. In the digital workflow, bridges and bars are produced with the aid of a scan body.
