Good to know about sutures

Absorbable suture material

When indicated, absorbable suture material is used for sutures that dissolve in tissue. The so-called half-life has become an established criterion for absorbable suture materials. Depending on the indication, we supply short-term, medium-term, and long-term absorbable suture material in many different thread sizes.

These suture materials consist of various polymer materials or stainless steel, and traditionally also of natural materials (silk).
