DBM - Demineralised bone matrix from DIZG is an allogeneic granulate, 1-2 mm, 3 cc, in which the mineral phase has been removed from the human donor bone tissue. This exposes the collagen matrix and the naturally bound growth factors (including BMPs), which give the material osteoinductive properties in addition to its osteoconductive effect.
The graft is freeze-dried and PES-sterilised (peracetic acid-ethanol), derived from human donor tissue from Germany.

Used for filling small to medium-sized bone defects, socket preservation and sinus lifts, often as a supplement to an osteoconductive graft material to stimulate new bone formation.
The tissue bank requires the name of the responsible clinician and the surgery date and time when allografts are ordered.
