The complete guide to PRF, Bio-Fillers, and regenerative treatment

The use of autologous platelet concentrates for tissue regeneration has become widespread in modern medicine and dentistry. While first-generation Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) was previously the standard, Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) has taken over the market in the last decade. This is due to the absence of anticoagulants, which promotes the formation of a natural fibrin clot and accelerates wound healing.

In 2019, Dr. Richard Miron and his research team revolutionized the technology by developing a heat treatment process that combines albumin gel with liquid PRF (Alb-PRF) – now known as Bio-Filler or Easy-Gel protocols. This innovation makes it possible to create a much more stable and long-lasting PRF material with significant advantages compared to traditional PRP and PRF.

This comprehensive online course provides an in-depth, evidence-based review of the production and clinical application of PRF. In addition to dental and regenerative benefits, the course also covers the use of Bio-Fillers in facial aesthetics – a treatment that has gained great recognition for natural skin rejuvenation – as well as the use of PRF in sports medicine for treating joints and muscles.

The course is included free of charge in our PRF product packages.

Program

  • A thorough introduction to the biological development from first-generation PRP to second-generation PRF. Focus on the physiology behind growth factors, the coagulation cascade and wound healing without anticoagulants.
  • A review of the specific, evidence-based centrifugation protocols required to achieve optimal cell concentration for different clinical indications.
  • Practical guidance on setting up, calibrating and correctly programming the PRF centrifuge in the clinic, so the system is ready for use.
  • Theoretical and practical review of safe and effective blood sampling. Equipment, hygiene and techniques to minimise patient discomfort and ensure optimal blood quality for PRF.
  • Learn to produce and use different PRF formats, including Bio-Fillers, Bio-Grafts (bone grafts with PRF), solid PRF membranes and liquid PRF.
  • A focus on aesthetic applications. A review of microneedling techniques, superficial papule injections for skin improvement, and protocols for hair regeneration and stimulation of hair follicles using PRF.
  • A technical review of the different types of blood collection tubes on the market. The importance of the tube's surface and material for the formation of liquid and solid PRF structures respectively.
  • In-depth training in producing and harvesting Concentrated PRF (C-PRF) and Albumin-PRF. Also includes "Bio-Filler Mapping" and live demonstrations of facial injections using both sharp needles and cannulas.
  • Extended use of biological treatments. The module features live demonstrations of how Alb-PRF is injected intra-articularly into shoulders and knees to promote healing in athletes and patients in pain.
