maxgraft® uni-cortical block is a prefabricated allograft block of human donor bone with a compact, dense cortical side and a cancellous core, purified using the Allotec® process at Cells+Tissuebank Austria. The cortical shell provides increased dimensional stability, which is an advantage in off-contour augmentations where the block must retain its shape during healing.

The block is trimmed to fit the defect and fixed with osteosynthesis screws, after which it acts as an osteoconductive scaffold that is gradually remodelled into the patient's own bone. Used as an alternative to autologous bone harvesting in 3D augmentation of the alveolar ridge.

  • Human allograft from living donors

Expected healing time is approx. 6 months, depending on the location, geometry and extent of the defect.

The tissue bank requires the name of the responsible clinician and the surgery date and time when allografts are ordered.

Clinical versatility with four solutions

Pure spongy maxgraft®+HyA (small and large granules) provides a highly porous structure that supports optimal revascularization and supply of vital cells, enabling rapid regeneration of vital bone tissue.

The cortico-spongy variant (small granules), consisting of approx. 70% cortical and 30% spongy bone, offers improved volume stability. This makes it particularly suitable for guided bone regeneration in the aesthetic zone, where predictable volume preservation and integration of soft tissue are crucial.

The extra fine cortico-spongious variant (XS granules) achieves a paste-like consistency upon hydration, allowing for easy application with a conventional Luer-tip syringe – ideal for filling small or narrow defects.
