Illum, Bicortical Block from DIZG is a structural allograft block, 20 x 20 mm, cut from the iliac crest (ilium). The block consists of two cortical layers with a cancellous core in between, providing a combination of mechanical load-bearing capacity and an osteoconductive interior that supports the ingrowth of new vessels and bone tissue.
The graft is freeze-dried and PES-sterilised (peracetic acid-ethanol) from human donor tissue.

Used for three-dimensional augmentation of larger bone defects in the jaw where a structural, dimensionally stable graft is required.
The tissue bank requires the name of the responsible clinician and the surgery date and time when allografts are ordered.
