Cortical Spongiosa granules from DIZG are allogeneic bone granules consisting of a balanced mixture of cortical and cancellous (spongy) human bone tissue. The combination gives the granules both mechanical stability and an open, porous structure that promotes rapid ingrowth of blood vessels and host cells. This pack has a coarser granule size of 1.0-2.0 mm and a volume of 3.0 cc, providing better volume stability in larger defects.
- Mixture of cortical and cancellous bone tissue with preserved natural collagen matrix
- Coarser granule fraction (1.0-2.0 mm) with good volume stability
- Gradually remodelled into vital host tissue, typically over approximately 4 months
- Human donor bone from DIZG, screened and manufactured in accordance with German medicinal products legislation (§ 21/21a AMG)
Used in oral surgery, implantology and periodontal therapy, including sinus lifts, ridge augmentation and filling of larger bone defects.
The tissue bank requires the name of the responsible clinician and the surgery date and time when allografts are ordered.
