Bicortical block from DIZG is a structural allograft block, 10 x 10 x 20 mm, with two cortical layers and a cancellous core. The combination gives the block mechanical load-bearing capacity from the cortical sides, while the cancellous core supports revascularisation and bone remodelling.
The graft is freeze-dried and PES-sterilised (peracetic acid-ethanol) from human donor tissue from Germany.

Used for three-dimensional augmentation of localised bone defects in the jaw, e.g. prior to implant placement.
The tissue bank requires the name of the responsible clinician and the surgery date and time when allografts are ordered.
