Three blood tests in the clinic on one reader

With Qassay's Welleo Professional Reader you measure vitamin D, HbA1c and CRP from a drop of capillary blood. The result is ready in about 15 minutes and arrives in the app.

The tests

Three markers that can change the treatment plan

All three are immunofluorescence tests on capillary blood with a quantitative result. Each pack contains 15 test cards.

Vitamin D

Bone and healing

Shows the patient's vitamin D status. Relevant before implants and bone augmentation, where bone healing matters.

Below 20 ng/ml: deficient · 20–30: insufficient · 30–100: sufficient (Qassay's classification).

HbA1c

Long-term blood glucose

Shows the average blood glucose over the past 2–3 months. Diabetes and periodontitis affect each other, and poorly controlled blood glucose slows wound healing and raises the risk of infection.

48 mmol/mol or above is the threshold for diabetes. Refer the patient to their own doctor if the value is raised.

CRP

Inflammation

C-reactive protein is a general marker of inflammation in the body. CRP rises within 6 hours and peaks after about 48 hours. Relevant as part of the assessment before major procedures.

Above 10 mg/l often points to an infection or another acute process that a doctor should assess.

The tests are screenings and do not replace a diagnosis by the patient's doctor.

How it works

From drop to number

  1. Take the sample

A drop of capillary blood from the fingertip.

  2. The test card

The sample goes onto the test card, where an immunofluorescence assay binds the marker and gives a measurable signal.

  3. Reading

The reader measures the signal optically and gives a quantitative value in about 5 seconds once the card is ready.

  4. In the app

The result is sent via Bluetooth to the app on iOS or Android, so it can be compared with the next measurement.

  • Spectrometric sensor for fluorescence and colorimetric measurements
  • Qualitative and quantitative results
  • Bluetooth to an app on iOS and Android
  • Rechargeable battery with USB-C
  • CE marked under the IVDR as a class A instrument

Reader, test and app

The result in one place

The reader, test cards and app work together. The result is saved, so you can follow the patient's values from one measurement to the next.

About Qassay

The company behind Welleo

Qassay develops digital readers, rapid tests and software for health measurements. The technology is also used in Welleo, where pharmacies in Europe measure vitamin D and CRP, among others, with the same reader.
