Bicortical block from DIZG is an allogeneic bone block measuring 10 x 10 x 10 mm that contains both cortical layers with cancellous bone tissue in between. This structure gives the block high mechanical stability, making it suitable as a structural, dimensionally stable graft block for building up local bone defects.
- Bicortical structure (two cortical layers with cancellous bone tissue) for high mechanical stability
- Preserved natural collagen matrix as a scaffold for ingrowth of host tissue
- Human donor bone from DIZG, screened and manufactured in accordance with German medicinal products legislation (§ 21/21a AMG)
- Validated sterilization process for inactivation of viruses, bacteria and fungi
Used in oral and maxillofacial surgery and implantology for structural ridge augmentation where a dimensionally stable block is required that can be screwed or fixed in place prior to implant treatment.
The tissue bank requires the name of the responsible clinician and the surgery date and time when allografts are ordered.
