Welcome to PRF Academy

Mission

At PRF Academy, our mission is to empower practitioners to achieve the highest standards in regenerative treatment outcomes. We provide specialised training to deepen your understanding of cell-based therapies and their transformative potential in Facial Aesthetics, Dentistry, Wound Healing and Sports Medicine.

Focus on science-based PRF.

Our curriculum is grounded in science and biology, emphasising the importance of personalised patient care. By considering age, skin type, environmental influences, and cultural nuances, we equip you with the knowledge and skills to design sophisticated, multi-faceted treatment solutions.

Course overview

PA01: PRF in Facial Aesthetics

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in the science and clinical application of Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) within facial aesthetics. Delegates will develop a thorough understanding of the biological mechanisms underpinning PRF — including growth factor activity, fibrin matrix formation, and tissue regeneration — alongside the clinical reasoning required to apply these principles effectively in practice.

The programme covers both standard and advanced injection techniques for skin rejuvenation, volumetric augmentation, and hair regeneration, with a focus on patient selection, treatment planning, and safety considerations. A live clinical demonstration is included, allowing delegates to observe technique precision and protocol execution in real time.

Suitable for dentists, doctors, nurses, and aesthetic practitioners seeking to integrate an evidence-based, autologous treatment modality into their existing portfolio.

Delegates will leave with:

  • A clear understanding of PRF biology and its clinical relevance
  • Confidence in technique selection for skin, volume, and hair indications
  • Practical insight from live demonstration and case-based discussion

PA02: PRF in Facial Aesthetics: Advanced

Building on foundational knowledge, this advanced programme examines the full clinical depth of PRF as a standalone and combination treatment modality. Delegates will gain a detailed understanding of how PRF integrates with technologies including Laser, Ultraformer (HIFU), and Hyaluronic Acid — exploring the biological rationale, treatment sequencing, and protocol design that underpin effective combination therapy.

A dedicated focus is placed on the peri-orbital region: one of the most technically demanding and clinically nuanced areas in facial aesthetics. Delegates will explore the anatomical considerations, treatment possibilities, and inherent limitations of augmentation in this zone, with particular emphasis on managing patient expectations and delivering consistent, measurable outcomes.

Designed for practitioners with existing PRF experience who wish to refine their clinical decision-making and expand their treatment capabilities.

Delegates will leave with:

  • Advanced protocols for combining PRF with energy-based and injectable modalities
  • A structured approach to peri-orbital assessment, treatment, and expectation management
  • Greater clinical confidence in complex case planning and outcome prediction

PA06: PRF in Dentistry

Advanced Science & Clinical Application

Marking 25 years since the introduction of PRF, this full-day programme brings together cutting-edge research and clinical practice under the guidance of Professor Marc Quirynen of KU Leuven — one of the foremost authorities in PRF science and its application in dentistry.

Delegates will receive an updated and comprehensive theoretical foundation, drawing directly from the latest scientific evidence. The programme provides thorough insight into the clinical use of PRF across key treatment areas, with a particular focus on Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) and Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR) — two disciplines where PRF has demonstrated significant clinical impact.

The day concludes with a hands-on workshop covering the manufacturing and application of Solid PRF, Liquid PRF, and Extended PRF preparations, including Bio-Membrane and Bio-Bone. Delegates will leave with both the knowledge and practical experience to elevate their use of PRF within a dental setting.

Suitable for dentists seeking to deepen their scientific understanding of PRF and refine their regenerative protocols under expert guidance.

Delegates will leave with:

  • An evidence-based, up-to-date understanding of PRF science from a world-leading researcher
  • Clinical insight into GBR and GTR protocols informed by current research
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing Solid, Liquid, and Extended PRF preparations

PA08: PRF in Sports Medicine

This four-hour programme explores the clinical application of biologics in regenerative medicine, with a focus on the treatment of sports injuries and arthritis. Led by Tobbe Ogéus, delegates will gain a thorough understanding of the biological mechanisms underlying regenerative treatments — from the science of tissue repair to the clinical rationale for biologic selection.

The programme covers a broad spectrum of regenerative modalities, including Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), Exosomes, Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF), and Cytokines — examining both their individual properties and their role within a broader regenerative treatment framework. A live clinical demonstration is included, allowing delegates to observe application techniques and protocol execution firsthand.

Suitable for medical doctors, dentists, and aesthetic practitioners seeking to expand their understanding of biologics beyond aesthetics and into musculoskeletal and regenerative medicine.

Delegates will leave with:

  • A solid biological foundation for understanding regenerative modalities in sports medicine
  • Clinical insight into the use of PRF, Exosomes, SVF, and Cytokines in injury and arthritis management
  • Practical understanding gained through live demonstration and case-based discussion

PA09: PRF in Wound Care

Webinar with Prof. Marc Quirynen

This one-hour webinar brings together the latest clinical evidence on the use of PRF in wound healing, presented by Professor Marc Quirynen of KU Leuven — one of the leading researchers in PRF science and its regenerative applications.

The session provides wound healing professionals with an updated and evidence-based understanding of how PRF can be integrated into clinical practice to support and accelerate tissue repair. With a focus on measurable patient outcomes, the programme addresses both the biological rationale and the practical implications of PRF as a treatment modality — including its potential to reduce healing time and overall treatment cost.

Suitable for doctors, nurses, and wound care specialists seeking to expand their regenerative toolkit with an autologous, evidence-backed approach.

Delegates will leave with:

  • An up-to-date understanding of PRF biology as it applies to wound healing
  • Clinical insight into how PRF can be implemented to improve patient outcomes
  • A clearer picture of the cost and time benefits PRF can offer in a wound care setting
