Smartscrews are self-tapping titanium fixation screws from IBI (Industrie Biomediche Insubri SA, Switzerland), developed for fixing titanium mesh and resorbable/non-resorbable membranes in guided bone regeneration (GBR). The short 7 mm version is suited to smaller bone defects and sites with limited bone height, where a low profile is required.
