At Puremedvet we draw on our in-depth experience from Puredent, where since 2012 we have supported dentists with equipment and knowledge for less invasive and biological regenerative treatments . Since 2017 we have worked with more and more of your colleagues, creating value and sharing knowledge across the human and veterinary fields.
On this page we have organized the relevant material into different topics and product areas. Take your time to explore the individual sections and let us help you realize the full potential of the dental part of your veterinary practice.
We are always open to a conversation and to learning more about what matters in your work with dental treatments – do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Periodontitis
In veterinary dentistry, the focus includes scaling, tooth extractions, periodontitis treatment and tissue regeneration. At PureMed we focus in particular on regenerative solutions that can support healing after dental procedures.
With PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) and hyaluronic acid, the body's natural healing processes can be stimulated using the patient's own growth factors or pure cross-linked hyaluronic acid, which promotes neovascularization and tissue proliferation.
We also offer biomaterials for bone regeneration, including allografts from VTS (USA) and xenografts.
On the product page you will also find our range of German-made dental instruments as well as sterile storage solutions that can replace traditional autoclave pouches.

Tooth extractions
Magnetic Mallet and Easy Root are ergonomic instruments that use magnetic force for precise and controlled surgical movements. Both are operated with a foot pedal, which gives high precision and reduces strain on the hand and wrist.
Easy Root is developed specifically for tooth extractions, while Magnetic Mallet can also be used for orthopaedic surgical procedures such as bone splitting and chiselling.
Benefits:
- Ergonomic, one-handed design
- Precise and controlled force transfer
- Less strain on hand and wrist
- Easy to clean and maintain
- The handpiece can be autoclaved
- No consumables and a long service life
Magnetic Mallet was originally developed for dental procedures but is today also used in orthopaedic surgery. Easy Root is the compact version, dedicated to fast and gentle tooth extractions.

Tissue regeneration
Biomaterials for bone regeneration
In the treatment of periodontitis, rebuilding lost bone can be decisive for a good treatment result. Healing can often be supported with PRF and hyaluronic acid, which stimulate the body's natural regeneration. For larger bone defects, biomaterials can be a valuable solution.
Through our many years of experience we offer a wide range of biomaterials for veterinary use, including xenografts and allografts.
Smartbrane – pericardium membrane
Smartbrane is a thin and strong pericardium membrane used to separate soft and hard tissue during bone regeneration. It is available in a compact size of 15 × 20 mm, which is particularly suited to the smaller defects often seen in veterinary patients.
Allografts from VTS
We work with Veterinary Transplant Services (VTS), which supplies allografts for dogs, cats and horses. Allografts are donor bone from the same species and constitute a biological alternative to the patient's own bone when reconstructing larger bone defects.

Sutures
The choice of suture matters greatly for wound healing and infection risk. A suture should not only keep the wound closed, but also minimize the risk of bacterial migration and support optimal healing conditions.
Monofilament or braided?
Braided sutures are easy to handle and have good knot stability, but their structure can encourage plaque formation and bacterial migration. Monofilament sutures have a smooth surface that reduces these risks and are therefore often a good choice for dental procedures.
Today we work mainly with slowly degrading monofilament sutures, which give low tissue reaction, good knot stability and secure wound closure.
Suturing technique
The suturing technique matters greatly for healing. An apical mattress suture distributes the tension away from the wound edge and creates calm around the tissue, which can improve the healing process. The technique is typically performed with a monofilament suture that degrades over 3–4 weeks.

Instruments and sterile storage
The quality of dental instruments matters greatly for precision, durability and workflow during surgical procedures.
USTOMED – German quality instruments
We work with the German company USTOMED, recognized for its high quality in surgical and dental instruments. Many instrument types are used both in human and veterinary practice, including needle holders, tweezers, scissors and other surgical instruments.
Through USTOMED we offer a wide range of durable quality products at a competitive price.
Sterile storage without autoclave pouches
We also offer sterile storage solutions from USTOMED that can replace traditional autoclave pouches. Metal containers with permanent filters provide safe storage, long service life and easy cleaning.
Benefits:
- Integrated permanent filter
- Robust aluminium construction
- Option of marking with labels or tags
- Different basket solutions for cleaning and storage

Microscalpels and bone scrapers
Bone harvesting and microsurgical instruments
In bone regeneration, the patient's own bone is often the preferred solution, as it contains natural growth factors that support bone formation. The bone is typically harvested with a scraping technique from the patient's own bone surface.
Micross – less invasive bone scraper
Micross from the Italian company META is designed for minimally invasive bone harvesting. Using a tunnel technique, bone can be harvested through a smaller incision, which makes the instrument particularly suited to smaller procedures and veterinary patients.
META is also behind SafeScraper, a single-use scraper widely used in human dental surgery.
Microscalpels from MJK
We also offer microscalpels from the French company MJK, which specializes in precision instruments for microsurgery. The range includes several models, including flexible scalpels that can be adapted as required.
Together with scalpels and handles from USTOMED, we offer a complete range of instruments for precise surgical procedures.
