An updated scientific evidence base and deep clinical insight into Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) and Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR).

Celebrate 25 years of Platelet-Rich Fibrin with a full-day PRF dentistry course led by Professor Marc Quirynen of KU Leuven — one of the world's leading researchers in dental regenerative medicine. The programme delivers an updated scientific evidence base and deep clinical insight into Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) and Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR). The day concludes with a hands-on workshop covering the manufacturing of Solid PRF, Liquid PRF, and Extended PRF preparations — including Bio-Membrane and Bio-Bone. Essential for dentists seeking to strengthen their regenerative protocols under world-class expert guidance.

Program overview

  • Introduction to PRF: how to prepare, mode of action, info on centrifuge (including videos), alveolar ridge preservation: step-by-step procedure, videos, available science, what to expect, essential tips, and advantages of this procedure. Guided bone regeneration (PRF-block): step-by-step procedure, videos, available science, what to expect, essential tips, and advantages of this procedure. 100% autogenous GBR (dentine block).
  • Sinus floor elevation (transcrestal, 1-stage lateral window, 2-stage lateral window, Schneiderian membrane healing), decision tree, step-by-step procedure, videos, available science, what to expect, essential tips, and advantages of this procedure. Guided tissue regeneration (intra-bony defects): step-by-step procedure, videos, available science, what to expect, and important tips. Soft-tissue management (PRF for gingival recessions): step-by-step procedure, videos, available science, what to expect, and essential tips. PRF membranes as wound bandage: step-by-step procedure, videos, available science, what to expect, and essential tips. PRF improvements, future developments and scientific studies.
  • Phlebotomy. Introduction to PRF equipment. Production of Solid PRF, Liquid PRF. Introduction to Bio-Heat and Bio-Bone.

Prof. Marc Quirynen

Professor of Periodontology, Catholic University of Leuven

Prof. Marc Quirynen, DDS, PhD, earned his dental degree in 1980 and his Certificate in Periodontology in 1984 from KU Leuven. He subsequently completed his PhD in 1986, investigating the anatomical and inflammatory mediators of bacterial plaque retention. Currently serving on the postgraduate Periodontology faculty at KU Leuven and as a Visiting Professor at Egas Moniz University, Prof. Quirynen is an internationally recognized pioneer in tissue regeneration. His research and clinical focus centers on the application of autologous platelet concentrates (APCs) in periodontal regeneration and implant dentistry. He authored the definitive text 'Leucocyte- and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (L-PRF) in Oral Regenerative Procedures' and guest-edited the landmark 'Periodontology 2000' monograph on APCs, synthesizing contemporary evidence alongside leading experts such as Dr. Richard Miron and Dr. Catherine Davies.
