Hvad er et Multi-Unit abutment?
Et Multi-Unit abutment er et transepitelialt abutment, der skrues direkte på implantatet. Toppen er en universel platform for IPD's Multi-Unit-komponenter (Multi-unit RP Ø4.8), og broer eller stænger skrues fast på abutmentet.
Ifølge IPD kan lige Multi-Unit abutments bruges til både enkelt- og flertandsrestaureringer. De vinklede bruges til skrueretinerede broer og aftagelige proteser på flere implantater.
Arbejdsgangen
Abutmentet placeres med en carrier, sædet kontrolleres med røntgen, og abutmentet spændes med Multi-Unit-skruetrækkeren. Indtil den endelige protese er klar, bruges et temporært abutment eller et healing abutment på Multi-Unit-niveau. I den digitale arbejdsgang fremstilles broer og stænger ved hjælp af en scan body.
